Thou gallant Joseph Bwitirire Katatumba
How sadly we miss you dear,
We can never never see you again in this world
O'beloved, O'breaved of you,
Your kinsmen 'n countrymen you served so devotedly,
Were shocked at your awful death.
You chose to fight than vanish with shame,
What an internal challenge to us,
To stand opposed to acts of ill
And shine the torch of good,
Robbers cut you a victim of sacrifice,
Yet your soul remained unhurt.
Our distinguished respected fearless gentleman,
Our dearest ancestor,
Your energy initiative courage and strength,
Shall ever be our guide,
To make this Academy the reality of your dreams,
Haec Otia Studia Fovent.

On Mbarara – Kabale Road it stands
Quietly in a Country setting
Yet uniquely exciting.
In a climate that is enticing
And the scenic beauty blending in
With air that is envirogating
As the youngsters yearn for excellence
At the Katatumba Academy.
From a humble beginning it was born
1984 being the year of inspiration
George William doing the initiation
In memory of the gallant Katatumba
The flag has gracefully kept flying
In a school one is proud to belong
For excellence is the song
